19th C Clerk's Drop Front Bureau

Original reinterpretation of a 19th century Clerk's drop front bureau.

Traditionally used by French legal clerks hence the French name - a "Secretaire de Clerc de Notaire".

Beautifully designed with brass handles and fitments and decorative cisile drawers and a beautiful hand waxed patina the bureau is also very practical in design. With seven drawers, the writing flap and a handy storage area both below the drawers and in the centre of the bureau this is an excellent writing desk with ample storage that takes up the minimum of space whilst offering maximum French style.

In a nutshell the Felix Monge clerk's drop front bureau is a superb example of a French period bureau that is equally at home in a hall, study or bedroom or wherever you choose.

Beautiful reproduction 19th century naturalist display cabinet.

What will you store in it? As the name suggests it was originally designed as a naturalist's display cabinet so you could store your insect or animal collection or maybe simply an eclectic mix of your family treasures..

Like all pieces in the collection this Felix Monge naturalist display cabinet is beautifully designed and hand crafted using only the best materials and workmanship - brass fitments and casements and a hand waxed patina to bring out the warmth of the solid wood.

The cabinet has two sliding glass doors with a vertical lock and its proportions create an original furniture piece that will easily fit in with a modern or period home.
